1.9YOU’VE COMPLETED 2 STEPS IN WEEK 1
Developing a digitally-enriched learning design
This step gives you the opportunity to share some teaching ideas for using digital with other participants.

In an apprenticeship, it is vital for learners to ‘Understand progress monitoring and metrics to assess work performed against the schedule’, the standard quoted in the previous exercise. As a standard, it should be widely relevant as this is valuable in any workplace.
You will now work on an example learning design for teaching this standard. You can then share ideas across different industry sectors, and in doing so, you share the task of digital innovation.
Have a go:
For this task, you will be editing a pre-made learning design called ‘Using progress monitoring and metrics to assess work performed against the schedule’. To do this, you can either:
- Download the Word version of the design from the Downloads section where you can edit the design, and copy/paste it into your course journal.
or
- Go to the Learning Designer website, as before, and select the design ‘Using progress monitoring and metrics to assess work performed against the schedule’.
You can use the guides in the Downloads section to help you use Learning Designer.
Have your say:
- How useful is it to build on a pre-made design for a generic learning outcome?
- Share any ideas you came up with in your adaptation and comment on others ideas they have shared.
Share and discuss your thoughts with other learners in the Comments.
Please include the url for your design in your post if you used the Learning Designer and would like to share it.
